What kind of dumb ass puts 50 plus mm's of spacers above stem?. as for leaving it like that, why not put stock top headset cap and use a -17 degree stem and when your back gives out you have room on steerer.don't think that steerer is going to last very long like that, hope it doesn't let go at 40mph ( that should be fun for you ) i've had one break at 20 mph and it wasn't much fun. hope you like the ride of the caad 10 as i sold mine because it rode like a ti bike.

Wow, haven't really posted much here, I guess it has something to do with the...let's call it "welcoming" environment. That and the abundance of wholesome posts - I simply don't know which to respond to first!

Anyways, look closely: 15mm = 3 FSA 5mm spacers.

The picture, as was posted in the OP.

What do you mean that caad10 rode like a ti ? is it flexy not stiff enough because I was thinking of getting a custom Ti bike.

The picture of it at the curb looks alot like more than 15mm, and it was less stiff than my lynskey level 3 i had awhile back. and the front end isn't as stiff as my supersix hm. i like a very stiff bike ( raced a hardtail mtb for 10 yrs )

You are correct: that was before the cut. It now has 40mm Thomson + 15mm of FSA spacers.

Sorry if that wasn't clear in the original post, it was kind of all over the place. Plenty stiff for me, and plenty responsive. Much more so than my old Giant TCR 0 Aluminum Aero and more so than my old SystemSix half carbon/half alu.

Yes, that is indeed the case. First rule of forums is ignore most, if not all, aggressive posts.

These bikes are weapons. The shop I work at just got one in. I haven't had a chance to have a ride on it but it built up well and looks fantastic.

Nice bike, but if you are going to SLAM THAT STEM then you need to CUT THAT STEERER.
