isn't one of the main purposes of a bar end plug to prevent the bars from impaling your leg if you crash and taking out a 'cookie'. i'd ride with them.

Stem is tuned to 109. Bars are at 187 after trimming the downs

Has anyone out there been able to get there Supersix below 12#? I know I could lose about 80g with Sram Red and hologram cranks. Seems like a hole lotta money for very little gain. I also know I could save about 40 grams with lighter seatpost and cages; however, the bars and stem are about as light as I would get and they all kinda go together. The Ciamillo brakes could be exchanged for kcnc c1 brakes, but then i couldnt use the powercordz. About the only thing I can think of id Fybrolyte carbon rings.
