Today we were under the stratus clouds so I escaped into the mountains. here view from col de Trécahuffé, the Geneva lake is under that cloud



In the shade, it was cold



I went up to col de Bassachaux; the road was dry most of the way except at the top... here is where I slipped and fell, pushed the bike 200 m

Nothing to report here, unfortunately.
My road to recovery from heart surgery is going well after 10 days... itching to ride tomorrow, indoors? perhaps.

Not strictly out riding but thought i'd post anyway. It's where i would go to ride XC MTB and also i ride the road adjacent to the lake frequently. It's called Shearwater Lake, part of the wider Longleat Estate in west Wiltshire, England.

It's a popular place at the weekends. Good carp fishing. A sailing club. Walkers. Kids learning to ride their bikes. Nice XC trails all around.

I used to think riding up climbs past snow was super scenic and fun.

Until I got to the top and had to descend back down!
