Hi everyone,

After giving hand polishing a couple of tries - without any serious results to show for - I got myself a cheap bench polishing machine. The results with the new machine are simply amazing and I have polished several vintage Campy hubs so far (I will put up some pics soon).

Having been able to make hubs look like new, I also wanted to make them function like new. Unfortunately, when I was taking apart a set of Campagnolo Record Pista hubs like the ones below, I seem to have misplaced a couple of the bearings. Same thing goes for the bearings of a Campagnolo Veloce hubset.

Can anyone help me with the bearing sizes of these hubs? Thanks in advance!

I think the Pista hubs are front 7/32" (5.56mm) and rear 1/4" (6.35mm).

Veloce NDS 1/4" (6.35mm) and DS 7/32" (5.56mm).

I believe you cam find better informatiom here.
http://www.campagnolo.com/jsp/en/doc/doccatid_3.jsp
and I believe that you will need a special tool to remove the inner cup of pista hub.
and veloce hub is a selad bearing

atakaoka, FYI older Veloce hubs (90s) used ball bearings. I assumed that was the version SWijland was referring to as it's not that easy to lose a cartridge bearing!

BTW atakaoka why would SWijland want to remove the inner cups when he just wants to replace the bearings?

Thanks everyone!

Losing a cartridge bearing would be a lot more difficult as supposed to a ball bearing  . Luckily no need to replace the inner cups either.
