If you applied that to Contador then none of his victorys would stand . Armstrongs Bronze at the olympics looks like going so I would not be surprised if they do take away his worlds.

Not one of your better posts artray!

Wrong on the supposition re. Contador - there is no line of teammates and all the other evidence stacked against him for all his Tour wins. Only evidence that points to him having cheated for one Tour win. There is simply no equivalance with the evidence presented against Lance, year by year, Tour "win" after Tour "win". No one on this forum, or anywhere else, can show me evidence Contador was cheating during, or leading up to, the Tour in 2007, which he won. We might have suspicions ... but's just speculation.

Lance's Bronze medal was in the year 2000, a year in which, you guessed it, USADA have compelling evidence he was cheating. Totally different to the Worlds many years earlier, for which there is no evidence he was cheating. No one on this forum, or anywhere else, can show me evidence Armstrong was cheating during, or leading up to, his Worlds victory.

There's a line that has to be drawn inevitably here. If you doped in the months leading up to a competition (as per the 2000 Olympics) then it's reasonable to say you've gained an unfair advantage in that competition, whether or not you were actually caught doping during the competition.

I understand your point sawyer . Its more the fact that USADA said they would let him keep some of his tour wins . It seems a bit hypocritical. You can't bust him for doping then let him keep a few victorys because he talks. USADA where willing to let results stand even though they know he won them doped .
You should not be doing deals like that, USADA lose credibility

Artray, your trolling is becoming redundant.

You think be repeating the same talking points over and over again it's going to lessen Armstrong's guilt or aid in the recovery of his forever-tarnished hero status?

You're turning into the cyberspace version of those Japanese soldiers trapped on an island still fighting WWII years after the fact.

Time to move on, dude. There are other windmills to chase.

no one has the goods on Contador other than the clenbuterol bust. but the idea that he was on the same team as Lance, Lance was blood doping, and Contador won clean is -- to say the least -- preposterous.

(I once held on to the hope that, since Contador had a near-death experience, he would be smart enough not to dope. but I now think that highly unlikely.)

This has been bothering me too. Why would Armstrong come back and use drugs after winning all of those tours? I'm guessing he's the kind of guy who knows what his competitors are doing, and he wouldn't hand them an advantage. Ie Im guessing he knew contador was juicing.
Also interesting how condor couldn't crack purito for most of the hard mountains, then comes a late rest day (primetime for a bag of blood), and condor is off the front. Color me sceptical.

Don't get me wrong - AC should be watched very closely indeed, and I'm suspicious he's won his other wins clean.

But that's totally different to saying "he should lose all his results because we caught him once".

Nothing to do with Armstrongs guilt, You keep reading things that are not there.

We could do with some new news. Having said that some people just keep on putting you on the same train when clearly you are taking the car.

Moot and minor point. Didn't happen. Anyway, it's the UCI's call ultimately and they made the right decision - strip results whre cheating is evidenced / season in which cheating occured.

They also made the right call letting LA keep his Worlds title.

They also made teh right call stripping Contador of a season's results, and Valverde etc.

Standard practice what's happened to LA given the evidence. His misfortune is to have come up against Tygart ... if only there more like him

That has been requested before, but new developments keep occurring.

Now we await word on the "fully independent" commission which the UCI will pick, and wait to see whether the "terms of reference" which the UCI will negotiate governing what and how the fully independent commission will be allowed to investigate the UCI, will be revealed to the public. It would appear that the UCI's definition of fully independent is fully independent of mine.

Hard to look at Skins decision to bring a case against the UCI as anything more than a very cynical PR move...
