Might not be many people using Strava in his area?

It's exploded my way.

^ Thats the case in Norway too. Very hard to get KOM's here. Dam Norwegians and their perfect genes! But in the UK its easier and in Portugal its a loooot easier. That could have something to do with the "fish and chips" gradient being quite steep in both :)

wtf, man, you have an average of 3 KOM's per ride. I'm going to go ahead and imply hacks on this one.

Chuck in the strava id from veloviewer into strava for the 'athlete profile' (you see it if you fwd the code for the graph by quoting the graph in a response).

Its all genuine enough. Looks like wingguy is the big fish in Yeovil, Uk.

I'm getting bunches using winds to chase mine down (which are all done solo)

You guys are all barking up the wrong tree. I want to see the doping controls. Some of these KOMs are tainted, to say the least.

I wish the histogram was in percentages rather than absolute 1-100 placings for this exact reason. It's hard to KOM when there's 1000 people recorded

Yeah but my mileage is absolutely pathetic compared to many people on here!

Well *f##k* you very much too! I just live in a very sparsely populated area place where all the KOMs are piss weak for lack of riders. If I lived in say, SoCal I'd probably have none. Hell, if I lived an hour and a half north of where I do I'd be lucky to be in the double digits.

All I'm saying, is I'm incredibly jealous. My histogram looks like garbage because I typically place 250/800 or so, so it all looks like noise. 2000km and 1 podium.

Haha.. aerozy: Yeah, it's taken off in the past 6-7 months.

Can't wait to get to Gran Canaria where I'd KOM just going for easy rides in the mountains ;-)

Yeah mine sucks. I was an early Strava adopter in my neck of the woods (ID 9717). Funny to watch my times plummet down the relative standings on the popular segments around here.

My philosophy on KOM's is there's always someone faster..... so just get out and enjoy the ride!

This is good stuff. Nice that it can rate your "quality" of segments. A 1st place kom is not worth much if only 4 people have recorded times, but 15th is worth a lot if 800 people have ridden that segment.
