I know from a lab test I did a while back that my Vo2max sucks.
I worked pretty hard the last two years raising my FTP. I'm getting used to the 20min test.
But very high intensity levels, like 90 sec. - 3min., I just can't give it my max I feel. Probably lots of factors involved (my age (45), not much high intensity practice, physical and mental abilies in general, etc..
I did a MAP test two days ago, and I'm depressed since...
Will try a 20min. test in a few days and compare both. We'll see...
