Bought a ritchey wcs carbon 1 bolt seatpost. I'm using a specialized romin evo pro with carbon rails. I really wanted black clamps, so i did a little bit of research on purchasing a set of black clamps. shortly found this...

"Seatpost and comes in two versions -- one for 7 x 9.6mm Fizik carbon railed saddles and another for saddles with 8 x 8.5mm carbon rails.

Ritchey says-
•NOTE: Oversized 7x9mm carbon rails are not compatible with seatposts equipped with side-load clamp mechanisms for 7mm round rails

Even though this seatpost uses a bolt from the side, it still clamps down from top down. So its not considered a "Side-load" clamp.

What size clamp should i use with my saddle? I dont want to use the wrong clamp and crack the rails.

I THINK they are oversized 7x9.

did you measure this with a caliper ?

there's various clamp kits available, but none seems to fit exactly your saddle rail

the 7 x 9.6 looks like the best option

From the Ritchey website:

Saddle Rail Clamp outer-pieces to adapt WCS Alloy 1-bolt posts to varius saddle rail dimensions.

•To retrofit WCS One-Bolt Alloy Seatpost
•7x7mm, 8x8.5mm or 7x9.6mm available

I dont have a caliper, but I am pretty sure my neighbor does. I can measure it today. what do the numbers stand for, i.e. 9.6...is that the width of the rails?

I used the 7x9.6 clamp on my carbon railed S-Works Toupe and it worked perfectly.

Thanks for the help guys!

I really want to get a titanium bolt for this clamp. How do I find out the bolt size I need? is that what the 9.6 is?

Shoot just realized that I ordered the alloy. had to call and change it to the carbon clamp kit. I really wanted it in black but the site only shows it available in silver. Can I powder coat these black?
