My 3rd bike for the year :lol:
Sold the TT bike and got the RB1000 frameset/fork, in XS with a 52.5cm toptube, 75.5 deg seat angle.
Was looking at something extraordinary (as compared to my C50, Time VXRS, Master), and the RB1k seems the most fitting, although it will never age as well as a C50 :wink:
BB, downtube, chainstays is just massive as compared to the C50/VXRS!

This will be a simple, straightforward built, with non-weightweenie components. Most likely with a mechanical Record 11, an EPS grouppo is still in consideration but the battery bulk.. :unbelievable:

Here's a lousy mock-up pic taken with the mobile, bars/stem will be replace with 3T
Cheers!

I had a good look at these frames at Bike Motion (bike show in The Netherlands) and for want of a better word they are......."chunky" :lol: But there is something about them which makes it a great looking frame.

Not entirely sure a human being is able to ride a bike with that much drop...Ryder maybe :mrgreen:

Really nice bike by the way, the color scheme is subtle yet still attracts some attention, overall awesome bike and can't wait to see a finished build!

@SolidSnake03

The integrated post will be trim off eventually, 69cm from BB to top of saddle.
(approx 7cm from the current height as shown in the pic).

Finally done, albeit with some minor screw ups on the BB30 pressed fit Campagnolo adapters, thank goodness the frameset was spared from any damaged (lesson learned, get a proper toolset for the right job!)
Test ridden the EPS SR but was left disappointed, hence went for a mechanical groupset (as a matter of fact, I took the grouppo from my C50 :lol: )

Total weight is approx 6450 grs, with LW Std.
The only notable weightweenie component installed are the Orion brake calipers, having some thoughts of replacing it and going for a regular SR brakes in the near future.

Cheers!

Looks cool. What didn't you like about the electronic SR?

@Arnoud,

The EPS did not impressed me on the rear shifts, front shifting is pretty good though there's some delay on the auto trimming. I'm a Campagnolo guy and will just wait until Campagnolo releases the next version. It will be mechanical for me until then.

@majklnajt,
Thanks for the compliments. I'm looking forward to your Trek project as well :thumbup:
Btw, those chrome parts are in fact metallic silver :wink:

Reamens,

The frame is quite a heavyweight, approx 1500+ gr, I would contribute this to the ridiculously thick layer of paint. The fork is impressively light though, approx 300 gr trimmed.
