Hello again. This upcoming Evo build of mine is taking so much of my brain time as I keep coming up with hints I want to do. One of the things I am thinking of now is to change the FSA rings that come with Hollowgrams I bought with a set of Praxis rings. The question now is whether I would start looking for the classic or the clover version. Any advantage of one over the other ? weight or performance ? Or is it just preference on he looks ?

I have both pair. I find that both shift perfectly with my Di2 and Camy SR11. I did not weight the rings so I cannot tell you the difference in weight but I am sure Jason at FWB knows.

The clover is a little stiffer according to Praxis guys but by a small small amount. I went with the classic as I got them like new on ebay for $56 . They shift way better than the FSA chainrings they replaced. I like the look of the classic better but some like the clover.

EDIT: Not sure about the weight for either.

Thanks for your inputs. I think I'll go with the classic as well as I like its looks more.

I'm pretty sure that's on it's way soon.

Yeah they have them on their facebook page. Well prototype but they did say they would be out soon.

According to the weights listed by Fairwheel Bikes, the clover design is lighter than the classic. Is this accurate? Looking at them, it seems like it should be the other way around. Is it a mix up? Or does my perception fail me?

Owen, that is correct the clover is a little lighter. To confirm I just put both on the scale and got the following:

Clover 39t, 33.0 grams
Clover 53t, 87.7 grams

Classic 39t, 31.1 grams
Classic 53t, 95.6 grams

Went with clover as well due primarily to weight. Wish they made 52T 130BCD rings (ala Campy SR11).
