Hello all,

I am posting pics of my Crumpton that I finally received this past weekend :) It looks quite similar to a Crumpton Corsa that Fairwheel bikes built up several months ago. The colors on the Corsa drew my eyes immediately and I was on the phone with Nic the next day. Needless to say, Nic talked me up to the SL frameset. Jason has been so kind to provide much needed assistance along the way. Also, this is the first time building a bike up on my own - so go easy.

Nice.

What did he tell you to convince you to go from the Corsa to the SL ?

Nice bike  I could do without the white bottle cages, though.

Basically the same discussion I had with my jeweler when I bought my wife's wedding ring.

"This is a nice diamond"

pause

"But this is a nicer diamond"

fa63- you might be right about the cages

just as well - they didn't hold my bottles very well this morning on its maiden voyage

Didn't happen to get the frame weight by any chance did you?

Very sweet.

I love that papier mache type pattern Crumpton has been doing with the top layer. Would have a hard time picking between that and one of the bold colors.

White or matte black Arundel Mandible cages. Will look way better and be 100% secure.

Beautiful bike. The fact that there is still room to drop more weight is just ridiculous! Not saying that you need to do anything with it but ride it at this point mind you!
Cannondale Synapse (alu)...it works

lionel B - no, actually just went with a plain old english thread - have had some bad experiences with some PF BBs - wanted to keep it simple

love the cranks, although I've only had 1 ride so far (knock on wood), it's probably been the most talked about piece from others, besides the frame

Very nice except the white bits .
The weight seems a bit heavy . I would have thought it would weigh less .
Beautiful bike
