I noticed that specialized.com no longer lists 130 width saddles. I thought it was a stock issue but they list others as out of stock. Anyone have any info about this? I was looking for a Romin EVO in 130 but no luck.

The population in our country has a bell curve that has shifted towards "fatter and wider", making the market niche for 130mm less marketable. :?:

The Romin actually is effectively narrower than the measurements indicate. A 143 is close to a 130 than 143, which is why they've brought out the 165. Look at it from the front and check out the curvature on the wings. Its much steeper than on something like a Toupe or Arione.

Body fat shouldn't affect the seat bones? Also, if you have big legs, wider saddle will literally become a pain in the a$$.

Exactly! I can't ride anything less than 143mm and only weigh 150lbs. Weight has very little to do with how wide your saddle should be.

Maybe a fatter population also has wider sit bones (bodies growing in ways to accomodate the excess mass). :?:

and yes, these :?: are just exploratory comments.

I bought a 130mm Toupe Pro 6 weeks ago.

If they stop making 130mm saddles I'll be in trouble!

You could be seeing just what's in stock for direct web sales. They seem to be pretty bad at web sales. Try a dealer.

i see that now too, i dont think i missed it but its still odd they have certain saddles in that size and not others. On a side note its quite annoying how they post new saddles on there way before they are released and just list them as out of stock with no other info.
