Post subject: Dura-Ace PD-7900 wear plate replaceable?

Is the stainless steel wear plate on the Shimano PD-7900 pedal replaceable? On various websites (eg. here.) it says it is replaceable, but in Shimano's tech doc for the pedal it says "For PD-7900, the body cover cannot be replaced".

I assume by "body cover" they mean the wear plate.

So which is it?

that is odd. also in the small parts diagram, there is no wear plate listed separately, but there is in the 7810 one.

further, the new 9000 pedal is in the same boat as 7900.
