I'm thinking of buying a ax-lightness handlebar. Has anyone heard of these breaking, or any issues with these bars?

No issues at all. Maybe just a bit too narrow.

I had three differents in my bikes, and no problem with them. I used Hera and Poseidon, and perfect.

I know a guy who's broken a road pair. One side, at the bend (as would be expected). I still rate them. It was an isolated incident (but no crash or bike drop)

MTB bars don't have that inherent weak point so I would be very surprised if they broke without crashing.

I think AX have always produced top notch products, pushing the boundaries of technology.
