Looks very nice, how user friendly are is the ovalised shape of the bar near the headset?
What angle is the stem?
Are they UCI legal?
What do they cost? I'm interested
Cheers

The bars are great, stiff, and they have a good feel to them, if you really like bars with flat top part on you will love them, i do not really use the aero extension/position, so i cant really comment on that. which brings me to the alanera, the same bar but without the aero extension. i am thinking about them, but i am also thinking about schmolke bars with syntace f99 stem. dont know, i like the shape of my bars.
by the way, i weight my bike its 15lbs 9 ounces.

Bought a set of these handlebars at the end of last year, they had just become available in the UK and I really liked the look of them. I figured they would be really stiff and lighter plus cheaper than the Cinelli Ram, also they would look better in the mat finish as they were going on a 2003 Giant TCR composite.
I ordered the bars in a 120mm stem and 46cm width and hoped they would be sub 400g. However I was a little dissapointed when they came out at 460g. These were weighed on the scientific scales in the lab where I work so I'm confident of the weight.
I still haven't tried the bars but would expect them to be very stiff considering the construction and weight. I think stiffness and strength are very important factors on a handlebar/stem set up and going too light could loose alot of power when out of the saddle due to flex.
Anyway these bars are actually now for sale, as my bike building plans have changed! If anyone is interested I'm in the UK. The bars are still unused and with all packaging.

Are you sure?
Only 460g???
It's a "good" weight !!!
I think that the Sinapsy weights 490g!

Yes positive, I work in the pharmaceutical industry so all our balances have to be regularly calibrated. The bars were 460g to the nearest gram.
I suppose this is not a bad weight considering the size, its just that the cinelli rams are supposed to be lighter. Plus alot of bar stem combinations such as ITM The Stem/Shmolk (if thats how you spell it) can be sub 300g! Very nice handlebar set up though.

i have a longer stem, i do get some flex if i stand on the bar and apply pressure
(130-44 bar size) but the bars are stiff i dont feel them move anywhere when i ride them.
