If he can straddle the bike and ride it comfortably, the frame isn't too big for him. His concerns seem to be purely cosmetic, and I know where he's coming from.

It's an awesome bike regardless.
Long live the horizontal top tube, standard crankset, and Italian threaded bottom bracket.

Hehehe, thanks for all the comments guys
OK Cal, I will measue the wheelbase also. Regarding the 1 cm height... maybe someone with long legs ordered it like that.

Edit: Let`s discuss my bike in its thread.

your position looks better than mine, ultimately if you are comfortable , putting decent power down isn't that the most impotant thing?!

Yes, I feel comfortable and thats what is most important.

My friend is KOM on this short climb.

I rode it on Sunday in 22:25.
He calculated that my avg. power was 328 W and 4,44 W/kg. I think this ok for my 176,5 cm and 74 kg.

I'm biased but I still think the C40 is Colnago's best ever and that era is the best of the best. I had a 95 for 12 seasons and currently have two like yours and an HP. Love it.

they are the old ttt prima 199 bars which were anatomic so they look odd from the camera angle as there is no flat bit on the drops so they are not actually turned up much

I know your turned them for the matter of comfort, but they are meant so that the drops are ground leveled.
Could you please measure how much cm are seatpost and sadlle combined, looking out of the frame. Thank you. Mine are 16 cm! :D

Now that you have mentioned it majklnajt I agree handlebars do look wrong. I will be putting on new cabling shortly so I will reposition shifters and handlebars as I have no issues with comfort. I do like fairly flat transition to levers so i may have to give up this in order to have drops more ground level.

Height of saddle is 16.5cm on a 57cm c-t frame.
