The 2013 CAAD's don't look too bad at all!

Had this to start with: A porky 8.07kg.

Successor to the CAAD9. As pictured below: 7.195kg

Image

Replaced the temporary Ultegra cranks with SRAM Rival: added 100g.

Picked this one up too...

But I missed the CAAD9 too much so I found a new frame and transplanted the parts from the CAAD8.

Hi there I just got a 2012 Caad 10 frameset Liquigas Colors but I'm unsure what to do about the build. I was thinking about SRAM Force, Rival or a combination of the two, I already have the wheels, handlebar, seatpost and stem I just need the components. What do you guys think any opinions or experiences with either of the two. I don't want to break the bank just looking to get the most bang for the buck since this will be backup bike I already have a 2012 Felt FC. Thanks in advanced for the help

CAAD10 is a great frame. You will really enjoy. Might enjoy it so much you ride it more than your FC.

For groupset pick whichever you can get the best deal on. Other than weight and cost, Rival and Force are similar unless you ate getting the new '13 Force. I think a mix of parts is fine to get a balance of cost vs low weight. Get Force shifters and rival RD/FD.

That's the same that my friend told me that I probably end up selling my Felt lol. That another option that I was considering is to build the Caad 10 with Sram Red and sell my Felt FC, I want a bike I can use on a trainer and a carbon frame I'm afraid to ride it hard on a trainer, anyways I appreciate your advice

Are you happy with the FC? If so, keep it. If not then maybe consider selling it. Judy whether you want only 1 bike or want 2 so you always have a backup bike.

I went with the red because of the weight, but honestly my wife’s bike with rival shifts and performs just as nice.
