A friend of mine is in the process of building a sub-7kg fully using a Tomac Carbide SL and 5Rot shifting... Then both your bikes will be heavy!!!

hehe Mads, I think I know who you mean...
Isn't there a way of expressing this better to level out the playing field? I propose a formula of weight per cm/inch travel. Bonus points for hydrolic braking shifting over cable-actuated (e.g. disc over V-brakes).
I really like all your Scott's and Yeti's btw. I think it's amazing how a rideable mountainbike with suspension can weigh so little these days.

To mythical
Sorry if I didn't express clearly that my post was just a joke. I'm sure there's alot of lighter bikes than mine - if I could use alot of money on bikes I would probably have another and lighter setup

No worries, Mads. I'm pretty sure you meant this bike which, if you ask me, looks almost like a road bike with slightly fatter tires... I know it wouldn't really hold up were I to do some serious mountainbiking with it.
It's very nice looking though!
Before turning road cyclist/triathlete, I've been into mountainbiking since '93 and have broken too many parts including carbon seats, suspension forks, heavy CrMo BB axles and forged Shimano XT cranksets even.

Nice Scale! I'm wondering how the Clavicula crank holds up. That Scale RC frame is really nice.

Clavicula crank are holding up fine - with the outer ring mounted on the inside-position it has a great chainline.
Just noticed that the frontcap of the Rotor stem is cracked

Updates to make the bike heavier with standard components
New Ultimate EVO flatbar
Rotor S2 stem
Sram XX geargroup with Black Box Ceramicspeed BB
KCNC Razor 160/140mm rotors
DT Swiss XCR100 fork
The scale shows 8.95 kg.
Room for alot of improvments but first I need to ride more

A bit old but changed from Jagwire L3 housing to Fasi Turbo Plus housing - saved about 40 grams from this upgrade only
complete weight for 2 steel cables and full housing for shiftning is 54 grams.
