anyone have a stock caad9 cone top cap spacer they're not using?
I found a really good deal on a NOS CAAD 9 on craigslist so I decided to scoop it up and swap all my parts over from my Bianchi. I'm really glad I chose to do the build myself as it gave me the opportunity to really learn about my bike, what is on it, how much each part actually weighs and how things work. It took me about 3 hours to strip the old frame and degrease the parts.
I'm starting to build up the CAAD and the first problem I've noticed is that the front brake is rubbing on the tire. It's almost as if the brake mounting point on the Cannondale fork is lower than on the Bianchi. I've tried to make some cable adjustments but this doesn't seem like it's going to be a proper fix. On my Bianchi, with the Campy quick release open, the bike would still roll. On the CAAD, it will not. Any advice on how to fix this?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. What components are you running? I have no probd with my CAAD9 and chorus groupo.
Got a pic?

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Obvious poster is obvious:
has anyone got (in one place) the breakdown of parts supplied as stock (and their mass) for the 2012 CAAD10 with ultegra?
My searchfu isn't very strong today. And this looks like the best place to ask on here....
sorry if it isn't, can you point me in the right direction (listings?)

I can help you out with a few bits
Cannondale C2 alloy stem 100mm +/- 6 degree = 118g with stock bolts
Cannondale C2 alloy bars 42cm c-c = 305g
Cannondale C2 seatpost UD Carbon 27.2 x 300mm = 225g
The C3 bars are around 350g iirc

Did a similar build a while back. This might help, though the listings are a mix of actual and listed weights.
Hi Guys...
Looking to upgrade my Shimano RS10 wheels on my Cannondale CAAD9 and was looking for some helpful advice on which road wheels to go for?....I'm a light rider weighting just 70kg/11 stone and using my bike mainly for fitness training and the odd sportive.
Not wanting to spend for than £400.
Also will I notice a big difference with a lighter pair of hoops??.
Moved post in here, as more appropriate. I also recommend using Search

My CAAD10 "Team Edition"
with SRAM Red - Cannondale Edition cranks
and SRAM Red - Team Green components.
The cockpit is by Ritchey.
Here's the build list:
Current weight is 7.63 kg. The highlighted items are next in line to be upgraded, shaving off around 400 grams.
Currently I'm keeping the Shimano 105 cassette for durability purposes.

last month I bought a new 2012 Cannondale EVO 2 (Sram red) and after 200 miles the bottom bracket creeks on all hill climbs. I understand that the frame was disigned by the same person that designed My 2011 Scott Addict R1 which also creeked after a few miles. The Fix for the Scott was Green penetrating locktite so the same fix for the EVO I guess.
If it is kown that pressfit bearing creek why would the assembly team just glue the things in in the first place to keep customers happy, now I have to ride my slow bike this weekend.
Sorry just had to vent a little to the only group that understands
