They need to bring team geo back. Trek manages to sell it just fine, why can't Specialized? Their stacks are still pretty tall.

They increased the HT length for the SL3. Used to be 170mm for a SL2 team geo and It increased to 205mm for a 58, but then they lowered it right in between for the SL4. Most of the time, the only size that may cause problem is the 58 (and it seems to be why some pros rode 56 instead of 58, but with a 140mm stem) juste like the Cervelo R3. Actually, the SL4 HT lenght is a good compromise. Of all the road bikes sold, the % of racers (already not that many) tall and flexible is just so small.

Yah a 190 HT for a 58 is a bit much, but that's also a common fat Fred size so they have to cater to their customer base. The problem with Specialized is that the gap in between a 56 and 58 is quite stark geo wise although stack and reach don't show it. The 56 really cuts down the amount of front-center and the overall wheelbase. My 56 Cannondale fits longer in this regard than a 56 Tarmac, yet its shorter up front and in the top tube. Cannondale was smart in that most riders can technically overlap to 3 sizes with 2 being on the extreme side if they need more or less reach/stack than normal. Despite their emphasis on BG fitting Speci doesn't get this.

As posted on the previous page.

it came in at 1290g (1339g with bb installed) size 58 for the frame without: bottlecage bolts, seatcollar/post and cableguides. and with derailleur hanger not bad, the fork came in at about 450 uncut.

Total build came to 6,290 with an additional 3cm of spacers and steerertube above the stem and uncut seatpost.

Are those Eclipse tubes? They shouldn't be used with carbon wheels...

Those look like Stronglight CT2 rings, which I've been using with Campy for a while now with great results.
