I am now in Italy (Montefiore dell aso).... I thought home of Colnago and Campi...
After some bad luc; freewheel broke and after repair just 1.7km ahead a spoke broke grrrrr.... anyway, back to the home of...
You almost see o campi and Colnago here... they told me campi is too expensive vs SRAM and Shimano and Colnago and Pinarello are not first choice anymore since they only make bikes in China since a couple of years... instead they ride BMC and Trek on Shimano. Can you believe???
Hard to explain to the local cracks that the C59 is called ITALIA.....
Anyway, biking is a lot of fun here!

Good for them. Stick it to the man. They are providing economic feedback.rodebaron51 wrote:You almost see o campi and Colnago here... they told me campi is too expensive vs SRAM and Shimano and Colnago and Pinarello are not first choice anymore since they only make bikes in China since a couple of years... instead they ride BMC and Trek on Shimano. Well here it is. Lighter wheels. Still got some weight to drop. But for now...
Very nice, but those are some serious fat tires or are my eyes playing tricks on me?
And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.
...not the best choise IMHO. Kind of out of place on this frame.
I just can't really warm up to Zipps on a Colnago.

I agree on the Zipps, but the rest of the build is done very well. Handlebars nicely set up, record 10 speed, tan sidewalls, an aesthetic saddle-bar drop. I think all that needs to be done is the decals removed on the Zipps - they're still great wheels, it's just the logo really does not compliment the Colnago.
Hello all, I just found this forum and this is my first post. Here's my commuter bike I put together with somewhat leftover parts. I will change a lot of parts over winter but for now I'll just ride it to work and back on better days. I will keep my eye on the for sale section for sure as I really would like to change all the aluminium bits to black ones.
Welcome Tide75,
I quite like the Aluminium look, it suits the Chrome rear end. Nice build out of spares.

It looks great! You may change this stem, the pedals, the saddle (and the tires).
UD carbon wheels would look awesome..........
