Recently the board software has been updated and there are some known bugs/failures:
- Avatars are currently not being displayed
- Tapatalk connection is currently broken

Those bugs will be fixed ASAP (next few days) as they are unfortunately more serious than expected.

556 grams (30 grams is all that gets aded to their 3d+ cranks)

Dual Power: 8 strain guages (4 per arm)

Proper power measuring and pedal stroke detail independant for right and left side.

Standard ANT+

300 hours from a standard / widely available battery (no tools needed for change)

universal 30MM axel should mate with a lot of different BB's.

Available early 2013 (est)

Estimating 1700 Euro +/-

They need to understand final production cost but the estimate should be pretty close. These guys understand machining and have hardware quotes. I would gues they'll need to build a few hundred before a full understanding of the hand time involved.

The tech here is crank arm based and not like the spider / spider-BB based gauges for quark and SRM. They're all measuring deflection but from different places.

Crank arm based power measurement should mean that it work with any chainrings, round or oval, any size, with no recalibration required. That would be awesome.

No. Treks's BB92 is the only crank standard it doesn't work with. But BSA, Ital, BB30, BB30 Pressfit, BB386Evo will work with the right BB.

If need be, it can be calibrated by the user in 5 sec. But under normal circumstances, it shouldn't be necessary.

All unicorns agree... But it would be tough given all chainrings are not made to a single standard :wink:

Also samples at 500Hz so not mislead by non-round rings etc and potential to analyse standing starts, sprint power and pedal stroke very well. Very very strong specs at a reasonable price.... let's hope they can deliver it!

Bit optimistic to expect it to stay accurate through ring and pedal swaps.....

I know this will divide opinion, but will they look a little different to the present Rotor arms?

I don't mind them, depending on the bike. But some of my mates find them hideous.

Given they are making these in conjunction with AIP who sell there model for 3500 Euro direct, I'd be surprised Rotor undercutting them by such a margin...

The cranks in the Bikeradar pic are still pre-production models. The final version will have a little more subdued graphics.

The projected price is 1700 Euro.
