Search the same bike on eBay "completed listings" - you'll get a somewhat current market value there.
Also search your local want-ads (craigslist, or your country's equivalent) for current market value.
+ or - the estimate average based off of your particular example's condition, upgrades, or components.
That's pretty much it.

Typically a bike that you bought yesterday and have never ridden is still only worth 60% of its RRP.

That's pretty much it.
This is usually my approach as well. You can always find deals or absurdly high priced ads, but eBay gives a good ballpark on what buyers are willing to pay.
also google your bike and see if a version of it is selling for less than MSRP. For example, lets say you have a 2010 Scott Foil 20, and google reveals the 2011 models are going for %20 off; then don't expect near that(warranty, peace of mind, etc.).
