Reading elsewhere, the Propel is apparently supposed to debut at the Tour Down Under in January but the frames won't be shipping until March 31.

Maybe it will be spotted at EuroBike?
Or InterBike?

No, that's what I thought but then I spoke to one of the sales reps. He said theyve shown a few media members a quick photo but still has a long way to go for even sneak peeks. He said to expect it at the very latest for 2014 (unlikely).

Jesus Christ, finally! This thread sucked up until now.

Half baked paint job aside, i think it looks pretty good. Looks a lot like their cross bike. Will probably be even better looking in a smaller size.

I wonder about those brakes. New Shimano-style 2-point mount? Giant's own aero creation? Mini v-brake style?

I spoke to a leading Bike Aero guru about brakes in front or behind the front steerer. He said there is that much dirty air at that point there is no benefit in moving the brake to behind the fork. Just marketing.

Thats an interesting point, I always had thought he advantage would be minimal at best.

That picture is of an early version of the Propel. It has been refined quite a bit since this picture. Look for some teasers to leak out during Eurobike.

The bike should be fully released in Jan.

Most accurate post in this thread right here.

They look like the same TRP V Brakes used on the Giant Trinity Composite frame.
