I think he means the things were you can see in what gear you are (don't know how you call it. There was somewhere a topic about it, but can't find it anymore. They removed the things for loosing more weight.

Very good looking bike and weight, but why not some lighter levers? I don't know what their weight are, but my tuned Avid SDSLs are 140g/pair. They are cheap too

I'd suggest a lightweight Ti QR - aim for around 50g!
I'd also suggest a KMC X-10 chain. Its 10 speed but no problems on a 9 speed drivechain.
Also foam grips will save you around 100g!!!
