In CX-er in last 2 years I went thru 36-46 rings :
1. TA Specialties ( never again ) ,
2. Stronglight CT2 ( nice, very nice - but as mentioned limit on big ring has to be set up precisely and tiny bit closer than it seems to- then works perfect ) ,
3. Rotor ( so so, nothing really to complain, but also nothing to be happy , I would say "Tiagra" level of shifting, softest from all )
and finally ( because of Campa crank ) MIche Super 11.
Designed for 2009-2011 cranks ( 2 part bolts ) surprisingly ( 4me) fits PERFECTLY to Rotor 3d24 110BCD crank. I didn't check weight
, but after about 1500km on it ( Campa Chorus & Sram Force 22 ) I'm more than happy. Shifting is faster & crispier than on previous chainrings.
Stiffest from all mentioned above even on extremely low cadence ( like 40-50 ) under heavy load not even small sign of bend, color is kind of brown-ish ( a la Campagnolo ) , regular Rotor bolts hold it without issues .
What you can not like : shifts are crisp , read almost "brutal" - Shimano softness lovers will be disappointed. But it has benefits : shifts always, regardless conditions- in deep snow, mud, covered by sand, ice , after 80km on very dusty gravel… without any hesitation or delays.
Chainrings has plenty of pins and special ramps - I believe it cause so nice work . Another plus is availability : 34,36,38 & 42,44,46,48 . Reasonably priced, so won't damage even "budget" builds.
I use dit with Chorus, 1190 & 1170 chain. No noticeable difference .
Hope it helps.
