It worked! No mental molestation of VP on Friday night and RESULT!! Given Vino's history it probably wasn't the best result for the sport but at least it wasn't Cavendish. I think it was less about an ugly looking GB bike and more about the lack of race radios.

On the UCI list there are 3 versions approved. Road, Track , and Time Trial. I assume they would use the TT bike which is a little different.

The differences between he road and tt frame look to me :
Same mould from the rear dropouts to just before the headtube. Shorter and lower headtube part moulded to the frame for tt. Different angle as well probably.
Steeper seattube angle achieved by another seatpost head (more forward) in the same seatpost tube.
Fork with less rake by using other dropouts in the same type forklegs.

This is just my opinion, I don't know these thing for a fact. But would make sense practically.

I inquired about the costs for the bike and components.
We already know the helmet is £3000.

Road/TT Frame - £7,000
Road/TT Fork - £3,200
Pursuit Bars - £4,000
Seat Post - £800

All bespoke, apparently... which is a bit confusing as the frames from Cav and Wiggo looked the same in dimensions. Perhaps they were in fact different from each other?

Lead time is looking at ~6 months.
