I'm shedding weight on my new Supersix Evo, but have had a helluva time finding the correct size seat post clamp. I ordered KCNC SC9 Road Seatpost Collar - 31.8 but it's too big. I a little more googling and it looks like I need a 30.0.

Can anyone confirm this? If so, where can i get a lightweight clamp in this size? Seems like few companies make them in this size!

Thanks!

Yes, it is a 30.0

Fairwheel Bikes has one but they are out of stock right now:

Thanks @tibikeboy... Ugh $100. not sure it's worth the cost/gm saved. I was hoping KCNC would have this in a 30.0.

IIRC the stock one is quite heavily machined/light. Perhaps weigh it before you go spending cash.

Ebay is your friend for all the light/cheap omni racer, kcnc, stuff.

did Cannondale go to some non-std seatpost with the Evo?

is it different from the regular SS?

my SS takes a 34.9 seatpost clamp.

for info - Token $20. no problems in 2 years.

Seatpost size is 27.2.

Just checked Woodman. Thought they did a 30.0 but only list a Deathgrip 29.8 which isn't particularly light at 26g.

for the supersix evo 2 red, it's a 27.2 stock seatpost size, but the collar has to be 30.0. and i just weighed the stock seatpost clamp at a cool 16 grams, good call @tokyo drifter.

$90 to save about 7 grams is ludicrous! plenty of other places to shave weight. Excited to post my final result.

I really like my 30.0 mm Salsa Lip Lock. My Principia needs the same diameter.

ya but it's 34 grams!!! almost 10 gm heavier than stock. need a 8-10gm option that's not $100! 30.0 such a hard size to find. Will probably stick with the stock clamp...

I broke two different clamps from Toronto Cycles until I went back to my stock Fuji S/1 clamp, which wasn't much heavier. These ultra-light clamps can have a really tight range between too loose and RIP.
