Not freaky at all to me, love them! I'd ride a Hello Kitty disc wheel...

Also a big fan of the slingshot bike. Trying to avoid buying too many more bikes this year but I really like Softride bikes too.

Now it's my turn to say this, Refthimos that Slingshot isn't a freak. It's great! Just needs some gears

It may look bad but it is going to very fast in aero terms.

Maybe.

I find it surprising though: it's been shown in wind-tunnel tests that the transition from headtube to top-tube and down-tube is a crucial place for aero qualities. On the frame above, there is little-to-no transition between the tubes. The stem, while 'aero' is heavily exposed with a large stack-like setup. How is that aero?

where was that photo taken - its a Northern Ireland registered car in the background ?
If so then the roumors of a NI facility producing prototype composites and products may be true. The Cervelo P4 was apparently first road tested at a NI TT.
Enough said!

@prendrefeu: Sure, it doesn't look all that aero but its not like Team GB to use equipment which isn't the fastest possible, which they would have tested. Their marginal gains philosophy and all that, right?

That GB olympic bike is hideous! Reminds me of some first-gen carbon frames that have not aged well. :unbelievable:

Does this mean that they would buy -let's say- Cervelo S5s if that was the fastest?

Got all the funny angles in there.

Also those Selle SMP saddles may be comfortable, but boy are they hideous.

That Pinarello pretty much sums up 90% of the couriers in the city here...
