First up this is a picture of my team's manager but to protect the innocent we will say his name is Karl. (His name is Karl) Karl was very intrigued with my first set of Gravitas but not for the brake but the logo on the brake. So this is a situation that the chicken came before the egg. Karl asked me to take a picture of the logo and that turned in tattoo. Since Karl had the tattoo he decided it was time to actually order a set of the Gravitas SL brakes. Karl ordered them and a couple of days later had his brakes.

Karl getting his brakes so fast had me curious so I put in a call to Ted to see what was going on. I was able to get thru to Ted, it appears he has the business phone going to his cell phone now. After a short conversation I found out that Ted was still pretty embarrassed by the rough patch he went thru and has taken steps that this will never be an issue again. I also will say that a few here too had issues so lets leave it buried for now. I know the story has been told here before but not only does Ted have a fully trained new staff and production is now ahead of orders. Ciamillo is now filling orders within a day or two of being placed. I guess custom orders would take longer but not a question that I asked.

While on the phone Ted also mentioned that thru customer feedback the products they make continue to get refined. There is a modification that was done to the pivot bolt the Gravitas SL that should the brake arms ever come loose they can easily be tightened but not overtightened. I'm not sure if this is done to the whole brake line but since Ted does lurk out here maybe he will let us know at some time.

Lastly, while I can't say what but I was told of a project that is winding up fast for a new product that I will hopefully be in line for first.

I myself have had excellent success with Ciamillo products and was very pleased with their customer service (albeit prior to the recent rough patch.) I am glad to hear that the team is back up and heading in the right direction. Thanks for posting.

But seriously, you can't dangle the "mystery new product" carrot out there and leave us salivating too long. Fess up!

Nice "wife beater T" on Karl there...

I just installed a fantastically well machined, super high end product from Ciamillo, but it's for shifting...

Charles, any details?
Shimano, Campagnolo, SRAM specific?
Where does it attach? What does it replace, if anything?
What does it improve?
How much does it weigh?

Before this gets too far out of line, It's actually in the family but not cycling...

I bought easily the nicest short throw shifter made today and it happens to also be made by the Ciamillo Family...

Hey, it's a 5.0 with a rag top down so your hair can blow.

Thanks for buying that 5.0. We make parts for the engine timing system where I work. Your support has helped me buy more WW parts! :beerchug:

Get a custom CNC'd bike rack made for the 5.0 then we are back on topic...

Ok, I will play nice.

What else from Ciamillo is on the horizon?
