new to WW - first post

i've searched but haven't seen a dedicated post to this particular wheelset.

http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/WPP ... et_no_logo

does anyone have any direct experience with these wheels ?
and i can't tell if they are unidirectional or some sort of carbon weave.

also having them shipped to toronto, canada and wondering if anyone has done so ( should i expect duties and taxes ? )

Thanks !

Go to the forums at Slowtwitch. You will find quite a bit of information on these wheels there.

BTW Welcome to the forum!

I've had a pair for a couple of years. Probably done >10,000km on them. Ridden them in all conditions including some truly horrible weather and the hubs have been fine. I've found them to be bomb proof but i only weigh 63kg.
For the money, i'm not sure that anything out there can compete. Recommended.

hope this helps...

I had a pair several years ago when they used ac hubs. They were bombproof, sold them to a friend who uses them for cross now. They were a great deal then, but many more players in that market now.

thanks for the input !

i ordered a pair, couldn't turn down the price they have them at right now ( on sale ! )

they come with their own brake pads, but i was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a better brake pad for these carbon rims ?

also planning on getting a pair of Vittoria Corsa Evo CX tubulars - thoughts ?

thanks !

They're VERY fast (top 5 in least rolling resistance, I believe) but they don't last much longer than other brands. That, and yu have to inflate them every day.
