OK, Im planning on borrowing a friends garmin edge 800 for when I go abroad in a few weeks. Simply put, it is possible for me to plan say 10 routes and then upload these routes onto the garmin, which then when Im abroad I can select a route and let it guide me around rather than get lost in the arse end of nowhere?
Thanks in advance.

Yeah. Create the routes in bikeroutetoaster.com
You can save each route directly to your Garmin, or else save them as tcx files and add them later.

better still, try www.ridewithgps.com. easier to plan routes, less buggy and when you have ridden you can up load back and get all your vital stats!
check the garmin you will be using has the correct maps loaded..... you will still be able to follow an arrow, but it will mean nothing if you can't see what's around you on the map.
