Hi guys, Any feedbacks on the new vented sole? I run speedplay and not sure if I shd get the vented sole or SP-specified sole. I live in hot and wet Singapore. Thanks.

I love the SP version. Lighter and even lower stack height.

I live in the Philippines, just about as hot and humid as SG. I just got me a pair a few days ago, and have put maybe 120km. I can say that I can feel the cooling from the vents because the rest of my foot gets pretty warm. I'm used to shoes with more ventilation in the uppers. I'm on Look cleats.

If your getting them anyway biggest benefit is the SP sole... stack height, and of course reduced mass...

If you are expecting a massive ventiliation difference it just isn't there...
Also just drill a 10mm dia. hole in the same spot on your current, and ensure to make same size hole in the in-sole... i have done this to all my Ergo 2's (3 pairs to date)....

IMO this is more effective at letting water out than any huge difference in hot weather cooling... live in tropical Queensland Aus, so also getting warm every so often...

Thanks for the info guys. Think I will go for the SP since it seems the ventilation isn't much significant.

Do you guys use a sole protector with your SIDI Ergo 3 SP sole?
How much does this add to stack height?

It adds pretty much none..
I use one and a shim on the other shoe..
You don't want the pedal body in contact with the Carbon sole it's a recipe for massive wear
