Sram Red mech with X.0 triggers
Moderator: Moderator Team
Hi everybody,
I've got a Red rear mech that I'd like to use on my 29-er, as the front chain rings are 39/26 and the rear cassette is 11-28t this should work, right? Or is the cable pull from X.0 or XX shifters too different for this setup to work? (I know it's not 100% the same... but there are still people who seem to make it work).
I'm only contemplating this setup because I've already gotten the mech and the rest of the components are pretty cheap, plus it'll save a ton of weight over the current setup (SLX with PG1030 cassette).

Try and find a post from Robin v Berkel - think he had to make some kind of an adjustment to his Red rear derailleur so the pull of the xx trigger would fit.
I saw Robin's posts, however I was under the impression he used 9-speed back then?

Hmmm - you could be right!! Just remembered something about it and looked at his pictures where he used xx triggers but maybe with xx rear derailleur.
On his Scalpel he used 9 speed X.0 gripshifts - I was planning to use 2x10 triggers, so the real question is: is the SRAM MTB 10 speed cable pull the same as the SRAM Road cable pull?

As already posted. SRAM 10spd road and mtn work together
Awesome sauce!
