I finally got around to upgrading my bike, went from Shimano 105 5600 to Sram Red Black, bought off the marketplace.
Also upgraded the cockpit, all 3T stuff, ltd dorico seatpost, team stealth stem and ergonova bars. It's kind of a shame that you're supposed to tape up the bars, it won't show much of the nice finish then.
At least, thats the excuse I'm using for being useless at wrapping handlebars. :P

Image

After a few hundred kms, I'm not entirely confident with my choice of SRAM Red. I think I prefer the feeling of shimano shifting, but that's just personal preference. Till the next bike.

Specs:
Cannondale Caad9 54cm
Premium Fork
SRAM Red Levers
SRAM Red FD
SRAM Red RD
Shimano Ultegra 11-25 cassette
Shimano Dura-Ace 7901 Chain
Shimano Dura-Ace 7900 C24 clincher wheels
Stock Tektro brakes w Swisstop flash pro pads
Stock Prologo seat (I find it comfortable enough)
Stock FSA Crank (Looking for a Cannondale branded SRAM Red or obviously, hollowgrams, feel free to PM me if you're wanting to get rid of a set  )

Weight: No idea. I bought a scale off ebay. It was $2. Not that accurate. I'm guesstimating ~7kgs.

For those who are CAAD crazy, I can post some confirmed weights:

The 2012 50 cm Matte BBQ CAAD10 frame, stripped to the bone: 1,165 grams

Fork w/ 20.5cm of steerer tube remaining (uncut): 389 grams.

30.9 mm seatpost collar w/screw: 15 grams.

Rear derailleur hanger w/both screws: 10 grams.

Standard bottle cage bolts: 15 grams. (I've replaced these with an alloy set that weighs 5 grams)

Hope this helps some of you contemplating a build.

I need your help fellas. I've searched around and can't find anything about this topic..

I'm currently building my first roadie(CAAD10 matte) with Sram RED 2011 groupset, Sram Force FD, but without the cranks. So I'm wondering if the new Sram RED 2012-2013 crankset would be compatible with the group I plan on running.

According to this, the new Sram RED crankset is only compatible with the new RED groupo. I can't see why you wouldn't be able to use the new cranks with the old red group.

First of all, cool thread. It was great looking through all of the CAADs and what different people have done to theirs. Here's my 2005 R900 CAAD8...

Frame: Cannondale CAAD8 58cm
Forks: Cannondale Premium carbon
Wheels: Campagnolo Bora Ultra Two (dark label)
Groupset: Campagnolo Super Record
Brakes: Ciamillo GSL Tuned
Bars: FSA K-force light (Ergo shape)
Stem: FSA OS-99 CSI (110mm)
Seatpost: FSA K-force light (SB-25)
Saddle: Fizi’k Arione CX (carbon rails)
Tyres: Vittoria Corsa Evo CX (black)
Pedals: Time I-Clic titanium pedals
Skewers: KCNC titanium skewers
Seat collar: KCNC
Cages: FSA K-force light
Cables: I-Link standard (gears) & mini (brakes)

It's no weenie but still respectable for a largish CAAD8 at 6.5 kgs as you see it here...

I've made a few weight saving upgrades since last posting in another thread. CB1 brakes, Pro saddle, Ward spindles, to name a few. Still a bit of weight to be shed.
