New part's in: Titanium axles for my Speedplay Zero's in white which i had laying around: 165 grams
Thanks for your input guys
I found this pic on the forum which looks like what Bmanx posted above:
viewtopic.php?f=10&t=74415&hilit=black+bikes
It is a black satin finish with gloss decals.
About the 'headbadge': i like the idea of having a headbadge on a bike. It's like the logo on the front grill of the car. Maybe just a glossy black é… (or white to make it pop out)
The carbon fiber parts are being clearcoated. I will have them back in a week or two.

I think that would be a killer looking build. I really like it. I really wish that I did my build that way now after seeing that one that you linked to.
I agree with the head badge and keeping it like a stock decals. Just please do not use so many decals on the build.

Just be aware with the matt r5ca, its a nightmare cleaning it. Even fingermarks can ruin the paint In my opinion, a layer of clear coat is worth the weight penalty.
2012 Cervelo R5ca Campa Superrecord.

For the moment i'll paint it satin black with the following glossy decals
Cervélo on the downtube
the é on the headtube (or a glossy square with a satin é in it, could look nice too)
the stripes like on the R5ca
maybe on the toptube 'soloist team', bit like this one

Carbon pieces are clearcoated.
Frame is in for repainting.
I noticed that in the past my rearwheel must have rubbed the chain- and seatstays. The paint wore of and aluminium is visible.
I was running Eason EA90 wheels and never noticed them being not stiff enough.
Could there be another cause for this? (I was using KCNC quick releases, aren't they strong enough?)

In the meantime other parts are back in and modified:
Force rank arms with Sram Red black chainrings (815grams incl bottom bracket):
The shifters:
Front derailleur with black aluminium bolts (60grams):
Rear derailleur with black aluminium bolts and light weight pulley wheels (135grams):
I'm also looking to tune the Cervélo aero seatpost. I also changed the stem and handlebar for a Syntace F109 and Bontrager Race Lite VR. They are pretty light, very stiff, and most importantly strong.
So i have a F99 stem and Racelite 7075 handlebar for sale. Let me know if you're interested.

The frame arrived last week and i started to build the bike.
Here are some (crappy) pics of the build so far.
I'm still waiting for my new stem that should arrive soon. It will be a Syntace F109 with a Bontrager Race Lite VR handlebar which weighs 230 grams.

There are still some parts i'd like to update:
- PowerCordz shift and brake cables (anyone who has experiences with them? Some realy like them, other hate them…)
- Fibre-lyte derailleur cage
- Extralite Integrhead 2 headset. But i don't know if it will fit. Cervélo has an 41mm diameter headtube. The extralite uses the campagnolo 42mm standard. Could somebody confirm if it would fit or not?
- Tuning of the seatpost clamp
If you have any other suggestions about tuning of this bike, please tell me I don't have big money to spend right now, so i'm looking for the small things (no wheels for example)

A Wheels Mfg derailleur hanger would enable you to change that to black - I've never understood why Cervélo use such a shiny silver one on their bikes
After having my frame painted matte black with glossy details i decided to change it a last time.
This is how it looked before:
Now it has turned to raw brushed aluminium:
Other changes are the wheels (Pacenti sl23 rims laced to tune mig70/mag170), Arundel cages and Berk saddle.
