Hello everyone

Hope you enjoy this one. Im in the middle of a 6 month super budget build of two light weight hardtails for myself and a buddy of mine for racing. On a super low budget, as we are skint! no more throwing £1ks at already light bikes.

THe builds are both based on Large Cannondale Trail SL's. A 2010 SL5 and a 2011 SL3. both bought used off Ebay for well under £300.

10.73kg

booooo.... wheels still suck and must be loads to loose there, but budgets are not running to fancy wheels this month.

Hi there. Spent so far;

Black one about £460 so far

White one about £400 so far but it's not finished.

Everything has been bought cheap off eBay, badly listed etc. hence having to wait months for right bits to turn up. Things like chains, BB etc has been bought new.

Not weighed wheels yet, can't bring myself to do it. Haha

but I'm guessing the pair, bare are 2200-2600g.

The schwable black jacks I have weighed and are well over 700g each!

The chenchein inner tubes were quite heavy too!

I've changed to regular 1.5-2.1 inner tubes.

I've got some bontrager tubeless tyres coming in at 496g each!

Rotors are now avid g3 160s at just over 100g see pics.

Qrs are mt zoom and are 45g

So yeah just need new wheels, but they are big money and struggling to find something in my budget.
