Looking to upgrade my wheels from alex rims zx which weigh a ton!
i ride alu hardtail bike which come in at 12.9kg so im looking to shed weight and upgrade the wheels for start.

thoughts are go tubless crest rims with hope pro 2,only thing is not sure about the sound of the hub when free wheeling
most of my riding is xc .

If your a skeptical about the Hopes, maybe try and take a look at the Tune King/Kong. They should be a bit quieter than the Hopes, yet they will keep the build pretty rigid.

Tunes are also a bit more expensive. When you are pedalling the noise is not there and when you are freewheeeling you get used to it. There are Novatec hubs that might be O.K for as well. I still like Shimano's XT and XTR hubs.,

Goltec is another option.
