Does anyone have information on the 2013 Carbon 2? I'd like to know whether it has the carbon Lefty as well.

F29 Carbon 2 will not have the carbon fork. Source: 2013 dealer book.

I am really disappointed in hearing that. The Carbon 1 has had a bit of a price jump (because of the carbon wheels I assume) which just makes it too expensive for me I'm afraid.

Carbon clinchers are a bad deal for someone wanting to run tubulars. A cheap(ish)/alu clincher wheelset would be a good 2nd wheelset.

what does your dealer books say about F29 2 color theme- is it gonna be as ugly as this carbon 1?

I really don't like the colours of the new 2013s, except for the Ultimate which is waaaay too expensive for me. Hmm. Is it possible to get a 2012 bike and upgrade the fork? Or would that be insanely expensive?

Ridiculously expensive. Usually, when you upgrade a fork, you can sell the old one. With a Lefty, that can be very difficult to do. Non Carbon Lefty forks, well, the one you want to buy in particular, will cost you well over $1000 USD. I'd forget about the Carbon....it really isn't going to do a whole lot for your anyhow.

On the dealer site they say the release date is mid to late October for the Carbon Flash 1 and Mid Aug for the Carbon Flash 2,3.

Will it be like previous years, only ultimate and Carbon 1 with HI-MOD frames? I'd love to get a Carbon 1, but I'm not sure I can dig that deep in my pockets...

Is it exactly the same fork on Ultimate and Carbon 1?

I'm narrowing down to the '3' as well. I just received this photo from my dealer. Called the F-Series for 2013. Available here late August. $3,100 msrp.
