XTR caliper paired with XX master cylinder

Anyone have experience with using XTR calipers and XX master cylinder?

Don't see that working out well for you....
Shimano are designed for use with mineral oil and Avid use DOT brake fluid. Those two systems are not typically compatible.

Another vote against it. Don't mix and match brake systems. Never a good idea.

All valid points and makes sense. I want XX shifter and XTR brakes and integrated on the bars. Will keep wishing..

custom mount, that's what you need. shouldnt be that hard. find someone with a small mill or one of those new-fangled desktop 3d printers (i got one coming, cant wait!)

new-fangled=desktop, $600. i'd wager that one ten years ago was a bit bigger, bulkier, much more expensive.
