After months of waiting and hours of sweating building the thing, here she is! Super Record EPS has been 'coming next week' since February, but I finally got hold of it.

I am bound to say that EPS is fantastic of course, but it is! Step change over mechanical? Probably not actually, but the best gear change you can buy right now and very clever. Easy to set up, very intuitive. Really like the clean lines of the internally routed frame, despite the battery mount, which is nice and low so doesn't change the weight distribution too much.

I chose to mount the control unit laterally under the bars under the computer. Not sure why you don't see more of this because it is nicely hidden away, in-line with the wires and you can see the LED's when sat on the bike.

Rides like a dream. Smooth, light and comfortable.

So to confirm and dispel some myths based on very initial observations:

1) PF BB30 doesn't creak, but isn't that much stiffer that I can tell over a traditional threaded BB.

2) The tapered head tube looks cool, but isn't much stiffer than a traditional 1, 1/8 that I can tell.

3) Moots really do weld like nobody else.

4) This is an obscene amount to spend on a pedal cycle!

Will try to weigh it when I can, but it certainly isn't UCI legal.

Me as well. However, what he's done with the stem and seatpost makes this a very nice build indeed. Cool.

it is a crazy amount to spend, but a bike like that, well, you could go to your grave riding that thing and be a happy man.

Speedplays, no spacers, Veloflex Carbon, and this would be the perfect bike in my opinion. Love it ...

Been looking forward to seeing this build since your 44mm ht discussion thread- its really turned out well. Larger ht and tapered fork dont make it look too front heavy at all. Whole bike looks really nicely balanced and business like imo.

be great to hear a ride comparison between this and your other lovely ti rides if you have the chance. Not too stiff up front for longer rides?

Nice bike, but it needs the newer updated computer. Not the older sigma 1009 or 509. Put a ROX on that ride!
