Definately new- but would you call it an aero bike? Strikes me as an "all rounder" bike to replace the cadence. By all rounder it doesn't look like it has been designed as aero at all costs but has a few more aero features.

ISP? So last decade.

If you look closely you can see a bolt/clamp at the top of the seat tube.

OK I take that back. The dropped DT and the general shapes do look like they have made aero a priority. You can see it all a lot better in that photo. Can see the Giant type seat post clamp on the aero seat post too.

So now my only critisium is the lack of effort by only using standard brakes. Come on with the mini vs on the back on the fork and on the chain stays!

I like the white on matt black. I could own one if the geometry suits.

Some of us like braking power and Avanti understands that :smartass:

Some of us also prefer practicality and ease of changing wheels in a high pressure situation like a race.

Yeah I guess even the S5 and most of the other aero road bikes out there are still using standard mount brakes. With the lessons learnt from TT bike testing they must know the pros/cons and still choosing standard front mount/seat stay mount brakes for aero road racing bikes.

I'm still very interested in the bike. Being a kiwi I'd love to fly the flag for a NZ brand. Like the paint and general aesthetics. Can't wait to see geometry.

Looks to me that they are using mechanical Dura-Ace on their road bikes

By the way, the rider in photo above (TTing with aero helmet on) is Michael Torckler. He has just been in a hit and run while out training in California. He is apparently in intensive care but his condition is improving.

Thoughts are with his family.

Mechanical DA, and has a very strong Scott Foil look to it.

Not surprising. Avanti and Scott have a technical partnership, and are distributed by the same company in Oceania (which also owns the Avanti brand).
