The full 2013 Trek lineup seems to now be functional on the Trek website with teh Madone 7.0 availible in project one.
Seems more or less in line with 6.9 pricing.
Four levels of Domaines being offered as well

I found it interesting that with an ETA 6 months away, you can build a 9000 Di2 equipped Madone 7.0 in the Project One page. The page shows the price as well as photo of the bike.

looking at trek's aero results from their whitepaper madone kamm tail is as effective as tradition airfoil.
tour mag aero frame testing is vindicated. venge and cervelo s5 have virtual identical aero overall avg drag

attached frameset weight + vertical compliance charts.
one more detail. the frame will support shimano's new internal battery spec. sweet ;)

As far as testing the "heavy hitters", it would seem like there is no excuse to not have results included for the Scott Foil.......unless it made the Trek take 2nd place so they left it out?????

Leave it to the marketing department to "spin" things.

I got the chance to ride a 2012 6.7 SSL, took it out for just over 90 miles. It was amazing how forgiving it was on the chip sealed roads that are everywhere where I live. When I stepped on the pedals the bike was very compliant. Bike felt completely solid on the descents. Defiantly recommend any of the Madones. I can't wait to see the new 7 series!

Is it wrong that I have been having thoughts of buying a Trek lately? First the Domane, now the Madone...

God help us.

If I didn't have my Colnagos which fit me perfectly I'd be looking at the Treks. The geometries are sound and I feel I could fit on one and experience pretty much the same ride characteristics as my Colnago. Plus, I like the lines. I really don't care about the "aero" qualities so much as the fit options and Trek really has that aspect nicely thought out. I really don't like the potential placement of the rear brake underneath in the crud path but that's been discussed in another thread.

Madone 7 Brakes compatibility??

Will I need to change my TRP brakes with the Madone 7?

Only Bontrager brakes?

Very annoying if it's true.

^^ The 7 Series is a direct mount brake only frame. Your choices will be either Dura-Ace or a Bontrager version of the Dura-Ace direct mount brake.

Otherwise, there is the 6 Series.
- Zipp rims will break if you look at them too hard
- R-Sys wheels will spontaneously explode
- The ZG crankset will never, ever exist
- Everyone needs Lightweights, even if they're fat and old
- Parts actually made of metal are SO 10 years ago

From Trek's website it looks like the 6 series Madones got the integrated brakes as well?
Minimum bike categories required in the stable:
