Seven Elium Di2, IMX, and Open 1.0 (page 2)

Modification was made from stock axle. The machinist did what I asked him :
1/ Machine both ends OD to remove bearing surfaces and stop
2/ Press titanium rings
3/ Machine added rings to 30mm
Purpose is to get wider bearings surfaces to fit outer cups.
Result, here with THM cups :
@ limba : I prefer smaller chainrings. It's better for me.

Love both of these bikes! I really like the match set, kind of cool to have kind of a family of bikes.

Like! Chainring selection is interesting and I would enjoy a discussion of that selection.
Can you explain how the shifting works? Meaning your hands do what movements for up and down shifts? To be honest, it's been a while since I've seen the inside of a Campy lever blade, but it looks like you've put a button there. I'm kind of confused. Seems like your hands have a lot of work to do to shift. And maybe a lot of hand movement.
Lovely bikes!

I don't understand why people find the chainrings so strange?
You pick ratios that keeps you spinning how you want, on the terrain you ride, pretty simple really. Personal preferences and all but that ring combo on the XC bike makes heaps of sense to me.

Shifting is very simple :
- Right lever action rear derailleur : upshift (bigger cog) with brake lever button, by index finger / downshift with hood button, by thumb
- Left lever action front derailleur : upshift (bigger ring) with brake lever button, by index finger / downshift with hood button, by thumb
=> Actions and command locations remains the same as original Campagnolo Ergopower (one command = one function). Hands movements are very limited.

Both bikes are stunning. If I ever got a mountain bike it would be a Open. Nice job!
