Hi.

This is my new bike, all is pretty much out of the box besides the wheels, Alpha with FMB tires.

Currently 5,85 kg with speedplay steel pedals.

Looking to get it a bit lighter without compromising looks or safety. The alphas are 1240 g and will not be replaced.

Stem, post and bar are all 3T ltd serie, Campa SR group besides the rotor crank.

New SRAM Red would drop a few grams, and suit the frame better.

Nice bike...I'd stick with the quality components but ditch the red colours...

Thinking about changing the red hoods, but like the red cablehousings, matching the red Cervelo badge on the front

I agree - red cable outers work. I actually nodded to myself when I saw that, it's a neat touch.

Nice bike.

Definitely think the hoods need to go. I like the cable housings and i like the tanwalls but i kind of think its either one or the other, but not both. I don't think they go well together.

Again, nice bike.

Quick releases. (40g??? depends on what is in there...they look chunky tho!)
Cable outers. (30g?)
lighter saddle. (100+g ...depends what fits you tho)
Topcap, expander and spacers. (30-40g depending on what is in there)
Ti spindles for your speedplays ($50 of ebay....look for "lolipop" pedals in your search)
There are lots of other things too but these are nice sensible ones :)
Updated: Racing again! Thought this was unlikely! Eventually, I may even have a decent race!
Edit: 2015: darn near won the best South Island series (got second in age
-group)..woo hoo Racy Theremery is back!!

Fab looking bike and a superb weight considering you've got loads of options to drop more weight and stay every day. I agree about the wheels. I don't think you can go too much below 1200gms on ultra reliable high miliage wheels.

Thanks for the pointers, really helpful. QR are carbons, but don´t know the weight.

Do you have a good tip for brakes, think the campas are about 270g.

Also, what cable outers ?

Thanks

Thanks for the response.

Would love to get the bike down to 5,5kg , seems like a lot of bikes theese days with 1000g frames easly gets down to sub 6 kg.

Everything is neatly coordinated on this bike: cranks, saddle, bar tape but the hoods spoil it. Red cables give it a nice touch.

Those wheels look awesome

Love the bike. I haven't seen tan sidewalls on an R5ca before, but I think it looks pretty cool. And I'm sure they ride nice
