I think carbon cages look fine on it as virtually every other component on the bike is carbon also. I also think the shape of the Planet X cages is fine, I could just do with getting round to finally sanding the logos off like I was meant to when I first bough them!
Thanks for all the nice comments!!

really nice, i think i like it even more because it doesnt have "shaped" tubes like we see a lot on carbon or ally frames, i dont want to call it a classic frame but its a timeless beauty for sure !!cant belive u scored it on ebay !!

I disagree - I think it looks too dark with the black sidewalls.
Are your LWs tubs? If so then perhaps a lighter tan sidewall would work better? The Vittoria is quite orange, whereas something like an FMB or Dugast would be lighter, or even the Schwalbe Milano (much cheaper butyl tub) might be an option to make them a little more 'every day' in use?

I too like it the way it is. I don't think the rims are too deep. Another great representation of the gray metal!

Little bit of cleaner and a scrub brush goes a long way to keeping the sidewalks sparkling!

To be honest I just don't like coloured sidewalls on the Lightweights. I sold the carbon clinchers and got some proper training wheels which might suit some Veloflex Records or similar. Or I'd love some Ambrosio Nemesis with tan sidewalls as well!

What's the point of Veloflex Record on training wheels?

And if I ever meet an aardvark, I'm going to step on its damn protruding nasal implement until it couldn't suck up an insect if its life depended on it.
