Can I get away with just new shifters, rear der and cassette, chain? And keep the rest my old set up?

I was pondering the cost of the switch yesterday at Ribble.

Came up with:

Athena $403

Chorus $560

that's for levers, RD, Chorus cassette and KMC chain.

Yup. Keep in mind you can find a full 11 speed Chorus group for around $1,200.
