Nice ride!

FYI, you can't go Dura Ace on the rear derailleur without going to DA levers since the pull ratio is different.

Those DA clinchers are the bomb....I have the RS80s (same rim, different hub) and love them so I can imagine the DAs are the dogs.

Thanks, DA shifters are quite pricey, but I hear good things about the DA shifting combo. Yes the wheels are great, hubs very silent. I feel the groupset is letting me down a little so will treat that as the next investment

I bet the front shifting with the SRAM chain set is less than stellar. Get a DA front mech and that should improve a little. The money-no-object play would be full DA and Hollowgram SiSl.

I know back in the mists of time 8 speed Dura Ace used a different pull ratio at the rear but not any more right?

The rear drivetrain compatibility hart says that the 7900 rear dérailleur is only compatible with the 7900 levers......not saying thy won't work ok, just sub-optimal.

The 105 front derailleur doesnt have the best shape for the chainset although it was just as bad with the gossamer provided with the bike. I could start with at least the DA front derailleur and go from there

Yeah.....nothing shifts like a Shimano crankset. I ride an Ultegra crankset for the shifting and it is spot on even with a 105 front mech. SRAM and FSA shift like garbage in comparison.
