Cleaning my bike, pre-ride w/end Friday night, and the chain kept jumping. Next thing, ping, and a chain ring bolt flies off.
On closer inspection the bolt into the crank arm is gone and the one that fell off has been cross threaded when installed.
Only 3 bolts holding the inner ring on.
I havent touched these since the bike was built by a very reputable shop, and i had a Stronglight 36t ring installed on the compact crank.
Rang the LBS who is the Campy distributor for Australia and they tell me to bring it in to determine which bolts i need. 2010 cranks.
Dont sell single bolts, only sets.

Surely this a record for the most expensive bolts ever or are they this expensive everywhere?

Luckily i had a 10 speed crank i could pinch the bolts from.
Going to buy some KCNC ones off evilbay for $18 shipped.

get some colorful ones from Fairwheel bikes,
bolts are bolts are bolts.

Buying direct from Campy the price is going to be jacked up to bail out the Italian Economy
