Picked this up from Baum on Friday - finished setting it up last night and managed these quick iPhone shots just now:

Not ridden it yet because I'm not well (which is driving me INSANE - I'm busting to ride it!) but I can't wait to see how it compares to the Corretto.

It's slightly heavier at 7.1kg with Mad Fibers compared to 6.5kg on the Corretto (even being Ti and with an ISP), but being quite a big steel frame that's no surprise, and is still a decent weight.

Baum Ristretto frame (steel with stainless steel stays)
Enve 2.0 fork
Chris King headset
Deda Zero100 stem (painted to match the frame)
Enve compact bar
Enve inline post (painted to match)
Selle Italia Flite 1990 saddle
Arundel Mandible cages, matt finish
Speedplay Zero (stainless) pedals in grey
Full new SRAM Red group (53/39 cranks & 11-25 cassette)
Mad Fiber wheels with Schwalbe Ultremo HT 25s

Oh, and I should add: I do intend to colour-code the red bits on the groupset!

Legs to suit a 60cm bike, torso to suit a 55cm - head tube and seat tube from one, top tube from the other :D

Nice, but I think the Mad Fibres ruin the looks of your bike.

Actually... I don't entirely disagree...

I really like these wheels, and have especially grown to love them on my Corretto. They'll probably end up back on that, but only when I can afford something else for this.

When I went to collect this it had a set of Enve SES 3.4s on it which looked lovely so I think I'd be targeting those, some 303 or 404 FCs, or a set of the new HED Stinger 3/4/5 FRs which I can get at a good price.

For the moment the Mad Fibers stay, and because of how damn good they are I'm perfectly alright with that!

I think the Baum's are as good as it gets in the looks stakes and I understand they ride great as well. This is another beauty. Only change I would make would be less deep section wheels, but that's a small criticism on what is another winner.

Enjoy when you can.

Is the geometry the same as your Correto?

Would be interesting to get a ride comparison from the two frames with the same wheels/tires/seat etc.

There's a 4mm HT difference with this being taller, but otherwise the same.

The frame and the groupset are a great match! I love the saddle also.

Very nice Rich.

Can't help wondering what the Nemesis rims would look like on this bike.

I'll pop them in once I've done a couple of rides on the MFs - I'm intrigued too!

Your Corretto still give me impure thoughts about that bike!

I will own a Baum!
